Could it be that the core of the problem bugging the cultural question is the way its Ministers are selected and not anything in the nature of the ministry itself ?
Should the process of selecting the Minister of Culture be any different, any more meticulous than the selection of His colleagues?
What could the nation gain from getting that process right or loose from getting it wrong?
If the other sectors always have someone from their practitioners list to fill the exalted post of a minister, is there reason to believe that the art and culture sector has no such facility?

Enter Abuja Royal Theatre !
There is a new entrant into the Nigerian Theatre Practice scene. It is the Abuja Royal Theatre. This awesome company is the creation of five devoted practitioners of the Theatre, currently based in Abuja. They are : Professor Ojo Bakare Rasaki, Oludotun Osunsanya, Kayode Aiyegbusi, Tunji Otun and Ngozi Duru.
This new company showed its mettle recently when it produced Lamgbodo, the Nigerian entry to FESTAC 77 as its contribution to the inauguration of the Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan.
It is certain that much will be heard in the future concerning this group.
